I’ve always been a curious person. I like understanding how things work: spaces, art, math and mostly, people; how they move through their homes, how their everyday rituals form over time, and how spaces quietly shape the way they feel. I believe design is about making spaces human and warm, and functional with structure. Structure brings calm.
Proportions, structure, the tactility of materials, intentional details and spatial flow- are key to make spaces work.
For me, design comes from warmth and intention. It is a combination of interrogation and empathy.
I studied architecture at SMEF’s BRICK School of Architecture, Pune. I spent over two and a half years working with Studio Nishita Kamdar as a designer, and SML Architects as project lead and later team lead, across homes of different scales in Maharashtra. Those years shaped the way I design, the sensitivity, the detailing and the balance between structure and softness that I lean toward today.
